about sarah
I fell in love with photography when I was a teenager; I fell in love with film as a young adult. the idea of memorializing a moment of beauty and keeping it safe like a treasure embodies the magic of photography for me.
I primarily use film today because I prefer to put in the effort and intention prior to taking the photo, as opposed to the significant and impressive work that digital photographers do in post-production. film is finite and limited; each frame is precious and must be treated as such.
nowadays, I prefer to photograph a blend of creative portraits, still life, and nature. I keep a camera on hand at all times. you never know when a moment of tiny beauty will come upon you!
I have been working as registered psychiatric nurse for nearly a decade, and find so much inspiration in the depths of the human psyche. I can’t imagine myself in a world where psychology and photography don’t shape my selfhood.
Thank you for reading and supporting my art; I appreciate it more than I can express in words.
